The biggest challenge in Production?

20Years Communications Book Kevin Popovic

Challenges? What challenges? You mean studios in the box, music in the can, photos that are just a click away and a DIY culture fueled by YouTube and Flickr are a bad thing? We think we have a few folks who have a thing or two to say about that. Production isn’t dead, it’s just plotting, quietly.

Sacrificing quality for timeliness and speed is a quick way to lose credibility in my book. It’s a tricky line in today’s age–everybody wants everything immediately–but if you do not take the time to make a good-looking, quality piece of work, the message is cooked.

You could possess the most relevant and curiosity-sparking message known to man, but if it is masked by cheesy transitions and terrible audio/video quality, nobody will want to hear it.
